Buyer FAQ

Questions buyers ask before the first order

Twelve answers that cover most of what comes up in a first enquiry. Anything not here, ask directly — we reply the same working day.

What is your minimum order quantity?

It depends on the family: sewn folding bags and indoor micro modules start very low (tens of pieces), flexible laminates and rigid modules are quoted from a few hundred, CIGS and BC are built to order per batch. Tell us the quantity you want to test with and we quote against that.

How long does a quotation take?

Three working days from a complete enquiry: surface dimensions or a drawing, the load or wattage target, the destination market and the port. If the requirement is vague we reply with questions the same day rather than a placeholder price.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes. Samples are made from the same line as production, typically in 7–12 working days. Sample cost is credited against the first volume order in most cases.

Do you supply under our own brand?

Yes — OEM and ODM are normal for us. You can use SunFold, your own brand, or sign a supply agreement directly with the factory. Printing, labelling and packaging follow your artwork.

Which certificates can you provide?

Standard-range modules carry CE. FCC, PSE, UKCA, IEC 61215 / 61730 and other destination marks are arranged against your target market. Tell us the country and we confirm what the producing line can supply before you order.

What is the difference between CIGS and crystalline flexible panels?

Crystalline flexible modules are silicon cells laminated on a flexible back sheet — efficient and cost-effective, but they develop micro-cracks if flexed repeatedly. CIGS is a deposited thin film: it bends through 360°, cannot crack, and keeps producing after damage, at a higher price per watt.

Can you make a panel in a non-standard shape?

Yes. Cells are laser-cut and re-scribed to the outline, so curved, stepped, drilled and multi-tab shapes are all possible. Send a photo with a ruler in frame or a dimensioned drawing to start.

How do you handle shipping and export documents?

We can ship on our own export documents as the sales window, or the factory can invoice you directly. FOB, CIF and DDP are all quoted; tell us the port and we include it in the price.

Can I visit the factory?

Yes, and we encourage it. Tell us your travel dates and we arrange the plant tour and an engineers' meeting in one visit — you walk the exact line that would run your order, including the EL inspection screen.

What warranty comes with the panels?

Crystalline modules carry the standard product and power warranty of the producing line (typically 5–12 years product, 25 years power). CIGS is 5 years product / 25 years power over 90%. Terms are stated in the quotation.

Do you supply complete kits, not just panels?

Yes — controllers, cable sets, mounting and packaging can be consolidated into one carton so the kit ships retail-ready. Tell us the target retail configuration.

Are you a factory or a trading company?

Neither, in the usual sense. We are the sales window of qualified solar OEM factories in Shenzhen: the factories produce, we match your requirement to the right line and quote at the factory price. You can contract with the factory directly if you prefer.

Still have a question?

Send the application and the constraint you are stuck on. We answer with the specific route, not a brochure.
