CIGS Rollable Solar Panels — 360° Bend, Zero Micro-Cracks

Copper indium gallium selenide laid down roll-to-roll on stainless foil without breaking vacuum. A laminate thinner than a credit card that survives 360-degree bending — and, having no cells or solder joints, it cannot develop micro-cracks.

This is the one route that cannot crack. Crystalline silicon, however well made, develops micro-cracks under flex and handling; CIGS is deposited as a continuous film, so there is no cell boundary to fracture. A deliberately damaged panel also keeps producing for a time, which matters on a wind-turbine blade, a marine deck or a high-altitude platform where a replacement is not an option. When the install space is tight, the same laminate is supplied wound onto a slim core — send us the diameter you need to fit and we confirm what the line can hold for your length, before you order.

Where it goes

  • RV and vehicle roofs
  • Marine decks and yacht hardtops
  • Wind-turbine blades
  • High-altitude and remote platforms

Widths from 0.35 to 1.3 m and lengths to 5.9 m are cut to order, with butyl adhesive backing, eyelets or rail-free mounting. Junction position, cable length and connector type follow your installation drawing.

Questions buyers ask

Is it really rollable, or just bendable?

FLEX-03N rolls onto a core for transport and can be deployed and re-rolled repeatedly. The 360° figure refers to the bend radius the laminate survives, not a one-time crease.

What happens if the panel is damaged?

A puncture or a cut section stops generating locally, but the rest of the module keeps producing — there is no cell string to fail as a whole. That tolerance is the main reason CIGS is specified in inaccessible locations.

How small a roll can you supply?

Roll diameter is set by the panel length and the core it is wound onto, so it is quoted per project rather than from a table. Tell us the diameter your housing or transport case can take, the width and the length you need, and we confirm what the line can hold for that build before you commit — usually with a photo of a rolled sample.

Can it be bonded directly to a roof?

Yes. Butyl adhesive backing is standard; the laminate is also available with eyelets or a rail-free edge for mechanical fixing.
